Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) sought financial aid from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to actualize its ‘Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan 2023.’ In a meeting held between the AIIB’s board of directors and the NEA Managing Director Kulman Ghising, they requested the bank to increase investment for electricity infrastructure improvement and expansion of projects. BCG Energy, Bamboo Capital Vietnam member, recently signed a cooperation agreement with SK ecoplant, a subsidiary of SK Group, and a renewable energy investor. They collaborated to build a solar and wind power plant with a capacity of 700MW in Vietnam. They signed a deal in Seoul on March 22, after which the two companies can jointly develop the 700MW project. Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing between India and Bhutan. Through this agreement, they extended cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and energy conservation measures. As part of this MoU, India aimed to assist Bhutan in enhancing energy efficiency in their household by promoting a star labeling program. United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) recently launched a solar-powered electric vehicle charging station at Pasig City. The solar-powered electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) contains three charging terminals and capable of servicing six electric vehicles (EVs) simultaneously. This charging station was launched in Pasig City as part of the promotion of low-carbon urban transport systems in the Philippines (LCT).
