China will donate solar panels to Lebanon to support its solar energy generation project at telecommunication centers. This was disclosed by Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Qian Minjian, recently. The year 2023 has witnessed the fastest global growth rate of renewable energy (RE) in over twenty years. In a move toward sustainability, the rooftop of the Ilocos Norte capitol building is currently undergoing the installation of solar panels. With this, it  aims to achieve long-term cost savings on electricity. It is estimated to cost around PHP45 million, which will be invested by the National Electrification Administration (NEA).  Cipriano Martinez. the acting General Manager of Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. China’s exports of rare earths in 2023 has risen 7.3 per cent from the prior year, as per the customs data. The factors driving its boost include  competitive prices and growing overseas demand from electric vehicle makers and other high-tech sectors. In order to tap demand for increased renewable energy production in urban areas, Japanese chemical company Kaneka plans to triple its annual production capacity of solar panels that are integrated into the sides of buildings by 2030. Having a combined potential capacity of 320 megawatts, the projects are located in South Sulawesi, Sukabumi, and Lombok provinces.
