Renewable energy developer Vena Energy has entered into a framework agreement with technology suppliers for a cross-border clean energy ‘hybrid megaproject’ located in Indonesia’s Riau Islands province. The firm has revealed that it will explore opportunities to manufacture solar panel components as well as battery energy storage systems in the southeastern country, which will pave the way for the set up of a hybrid megaproject with up to 2 GW of solar and over 8 GWh of energy storage. Philippines-based ACEN has signed an amended and restated loan and security agreement with Nature’s Renewable Energy Devt. Corp. (NAREDCO) and CleanTech Renewable Energy 4 Corp. Indonesia and the United Kingdom (UK) have agreed to extend the MENTARI Energy Transition programme. In a statement, the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif disclosed this.
