Singapore has signed a pact with Indonesia to develop renewable energy capabilities and to import renewable energies such as solar power and green hydrogen from Indonesia. Following more than a year-long ban on the export of renewable energy, the Malaysian government is reviewing the imposition. This was revealed by the country’s Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. The recently appointed minister informed that the review has been discussed twice in Cabinet meetings under the recently-established coalition government. France-based multi-energy firm, TotalEnergies, has set into motion he commercial operations of its fourth solar power plant in Tsu, Mie Prefecture in Japan. The plant boasts of 51 MW worth of capacity. The Haze power plant will provide electricity to Chubu Electric Power Miraiz Co., Inc., which is a subsidiary of the regional utility firm.
