Singapore-based Cleantech Solar, a provider of renewable energy solutions in Southeast Asia and India, has signed a long-term solar deal with industrial thread manufacturer, Coats Group PLC in Indonesia to develop a 540 kW rooftop solar PV project at their facility in Pasuruan, East Java.
As per the agreement, Cleantech Solar will provide end-to-end solar solutions and also ensure the performance of the system.
The solar PV system includes 990 solar modules which is expected to generate 16 GWh of clean energy contributing in the reduction of over 13 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. With this, Coats will be able use renewable energy as a part of their power consumption at zero capital investment.
This deal is a significant step efforts towards sustainability in Indonesia proving Coats’ goal of ‘pioneering a sustainable future’.
