LONGi and Solar Electric Vietnam JSC have completed a large solar power project for Tan De Company, one of the biggest garment manufacturers in Vietnam, in the direction of green energy and sustainable development.
Tan De Company, a huge company has more than 17,000 employees. The company is famous for its large industrial activities. The installation capacity of the project amounts to 11 MWp of solar photovoltaic systems on the rooftops of nine factories. These systems use LONGi’s Hi-MO X6 modules. These modules come with anti-dust technology, which means that a lot of extra energy will be generated. It is expected to save 12,603 MWh of electricity per year. That means 8,527 tons of CO2 will not be released into the atmosphere yearly. In addition, it helps Tan De to run the operations at global standards of green manufacturing.
Mr. Duong Vu, Deputy Head of SEV’s Technical Department, said the system looks very robust. He reminded that even after Yagi typhoon crossed Northern Vietnam, all nine installations remained intact, though many other buildings were seriously damaged. That proves the quality of installation and powerful engineering capabilities of SEV.
This project will also support the goal set by Vietnam regarding renewable energy development. It will show how solar energy can lead in transforming the textile and manufacturing industries into more sustainable industries.
