Samaiden Group Berhad, a renewable energy firm, in collaboration with JS Solar Sdn Bhd and their subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, have secured a substantial Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract valued at RM100.00 million from NUR Renewables Sdn Bhd. This contract is for establishing a 50 megawatts (MWac) solar power plant at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) in Kedah, Malaysia.
NUR Renewables, a key player in Malaysia’s electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and retail, holds exclusive rights in KHTP, positioning it as the sole independent power utility in the region. The solar power plant’s primary objective is to provide green energy to all customers within KHTP. This initiative is part of NUR’s larger plan, involving collaboration with UEM Lestra Berhad, the green energy arm of UEM Group, to develop an ambitious 500MWac solar project.
Group Managing Director of Samaiden, Ir. Chow Pui Hee hopes to achieve success with this collaboration.
