The strategic supply agreement between Sungrow and Gulf Energy Development Plc (GULF) marks a significant step towards advancing Thailand’s renewable energy sector. Through this partnership, Sungrow will supply PV inverters and liquid-cooled energy storage systems to meet GULF’s project requirements totaling 3.5GWp over the next seven years.
This collaboration is in line with Thailand’s Power Development Plan (PDP), aiming to address rising electricity prices, optimize energy supply structures, and bolster national energy security and independence. By integrating photovoltaic and energy storage technologies, the projects aim to set a model for renewable energy development in Southeast Asia.
GULF, being one of Thailand’s major private power producers with a strong focus on renewable energy, sees this collaboration as essential for driving growth in the renewable energy sector. The choice of Sungrow’s SG350HX string inverters and PowerTitan energy storage systems underscores the emphasis on quality and efficiency in energy storage and inverter solutions.
