UBP Energy Development has signed an MoU with Huawei Digital Power Thailand to build fully digitalized PV systems. Under the pact,, Thailand will have better access to stable clean power generation and clean power supply, using Huawei’s Smart PV technologies. The agreement is expected to pave way for advanced PV solutions for future net zero emission projects in Thailand towards the carbon neutrality 2050 road-map.

The agreement was signed by Thanate Poompo, Chief Executive Officer of UBP Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Logan Yu, President of Digital Power Business, Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The partnership would be mutually beneficial as both firms will share their expertise and solutions in the solar industry to contribute to the road-map of the carbon neutrality of Thailand, primarily aiming at inverter and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) development. The pact would help increase the performance of PV technologies, while tremendously decreasing the cost of operation. Further, accelerating the transformation of the energy industry through the advanced solutions and services by both parties and providing advanced PV solutions to support Thailand’s move to a carbon-neutral and smart city.
